Bibio, aka Stephen Wilkinson, and Dorian Concept, aka Oliver Johnson, release their first collaborative album, "Answers", on Warp Records! The two have built a creative relationship over more than 15 years since first meeting in 2009, through live shows, shared interests, and an ongoing exchange of music and ideas. On this album, the dialogue they have carried on all this while comes together as a fully collaborative work. At its core lies the idea of "looking back in order to move forward". Based in Vienna, Wolverhampton, and the Welsh countryside, the two exchanged songs, footage, and ideas through email, WhatsApp, and shared folders, developing the music through an intuitive process of listening, altering, and responding to whatever the other sent. What sparked this collaboration was Wilkinson watching Dorian Concept's 2022 video work "Let It All Go". This led Wilkinson to propose working together with Johnson on an audio-visual piece, and from there, Wilkinson went on to play guitar as Bibio on Dorian Concept's 2025 work "Miniatures". This creative process also extended into the visual works that accompany the album: Wilkinson and Johnson co-produced five videos, making full use of analog and early digital video cameras, VHS-C, MiniDV, VJ equipment, video mixers, and even modified analog video gear, and they actively embraced the glitches, imperfections, and unexpected visual distortions and artifacts produced by this aging equipment. Footage shot around the two of them became material to be processed and layered, transforming natural scenery and everyday, unremarkable moments into new visual expression through both analog and digital processes. Comes with liner notes/booklet. *Please note that the track listing differs between the Japanese domestic CD edition and the imported CD/LP editions. *Since this product goes on sale on a Friday and is released simultaneously worldwide, delivery will be on or after the release date.
