Bjork gives a performance of a life time portraying a Czech immigrant working in a factory in rural America in the '60s. It's a tragic story of a mother who is losing her eyesight, and her son needs a help too in order to avoid the same fate. Bjork deservedly won the best actress award at Cannes Film Festival (2000).
