First broadcast on television from April 1988 to March 1989 and later sparking a major boom through OAV releases and voice actor popularity, the anime "Legendary Armor Samurai Troopers" tells the story of five boys, Ryo, Shin, Shu, Seiji, and Toma, who are brought together by fate to fight against the forces of the Youja Emperor Arago while wearing protectors known as Yoroi Gear. A new series, "Legendary Armor Samurai Troopers," begins television broadcast in January 2026, and this book is planned to coincide with that new airing as a dream collaboration art book by Ken Mizuki and Minai Tachibana, both ardent fans of "Legendary Armor Samurai Troopers" who have released many official illustrations and comics over the years. This volume includes nearly all of the major official and private illustrations of "Ronin Warriors" that Ken Mizuki and Minai Tachibana have drawn and accumulated over many years, faithfully reproducing beautiful hand-drawn color originals. Known respectively as fans of Touma and Seiji, the two authors also present several rare collaborative illustrations created together on single sheets, included as the "Lemon Boys" section, depicting a fictional photo book project in which Touma and Seiji pass an audition originally intended for Shu and debut as models with the publication of "Lemon Boys." Featuring special newly drawn artwork created exclusively for this book, this lavish and visually stunning 152-page art collection also includes rough sketch pages and a must-read concluding section with long-form interviews of both authors.
