Yukiguni, rapidly gaining recognition in the indie music scene through achievements such as winning the CD Shop Awards and appearing at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL's "ROOKIE A GO-GO," releases its long-awaited 2nd EP. Recording took place at "MUSIC inn Fujieda," a residential music production studio in Fujieda City, Shizuoka Prefecture, established in March 2026 by Masafumi Goto of ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION. Recorded in a renovated earthen storehouse with 130 years of history while inheriting equipment used by renowned artists, the sound carries both weight and conviction. This six-track EP features mixing by Kensei Ogata, who has supported Yukiguni's previous works, and mastering by Alex DeTurk, known for Clairo's acclaimed album "Charm." A beautiful resignation that abandons any prearranged plot and simply surrenders to the passage of time. Yukiguni's 2nd EP is born from accepting the end of a moratorium and honestly acknowledging the fact that everything is eventually forgotten. Free from intellectual logic and entrusted instead to the breathing and impulses of the performing body, the work weaves together six continuously connected landscapes, from life-sized sounds marking a new beginning to sonic imagery that quietly sinks everything into the depths of oblivion. The strength to forget and the weakness of acceptance merge into a heartfelt ensemble that gently and quietly embraces the lives of those living at the end of a story.
