A complete recording from the comeback tour of an American music legend, his first tour in seven years. Released in a Japan-exclusive 2CD+BD configuration, with a multi-jewel case and high-quality Blu-spec CD2 available only in Japan. The 2025 "A Quiet Celebration Tour" was Simon's first full-scale tour since 2018's "Homeward Bound - The Farewell Tour." During the seven-year break, Simon made occasional live appearances, including the Newport Folk Festival in 2022 and a surprise appearance on "SNL50: The Anniversary Special" in February last year. In 2023, he released "Seven Psalms," his first new work in seven years. However, after Simon lost most of the hearing in his left ear, a larger-scale return, and even his future musical activities, were placed in serious doubt. Working with the Stanford Initiative to Cure Hearing Loss and his production team, Simon developed a new monitoring setup that enabled him to resume live performances. The performance came two years after Simon, then 83, had said that his severe hearing loss might prevent him from ever performing live again. The tour began in New Orleans on April 4, 2025, then traveled across North America before concluding with five shows in Seattle. This release captures the August 6 performance at McCaw Hall in Seattle, WA, the final date of the 2025 "A Quiet Celebration Tour." Includes liner notes, lyrics, and Japanese translations. *Since this product goes on sale on a Friday, delivery will be on or after the release date.
