Renegades is the last studio album from RATM with vocalist Zack De La Rocha who left the band to pursue a solo career. It's not really a covers album as it was purported to be previously, but rather a brand new RATM album which uses the lyrics from some of the most classic rock tunes of the last 40 years, setting them to entirely new soundtracks. The result is Rage-ified versions of classic rock and hip-hop jams by Bob Dylan, Devo, Rolling Stones, Cypress Hill, Bruce Springsteen, Eric B. and Rakim, and the MC5, among others. Because of this release, their live album which was scheduled for release earlier got shelved for now.
