Maku (Act) 1 of OVA "Tsuioku-hen" in which the story behind Kenshin's cross scar is revealed. In this Maku (Act), Kenshin meets Hiko Seijuro who teaches him the way of "Hiten-mitsurugiryu" swordsmanship. A few years later, Kenshin has become a "Hitokiri Battosai", a swordsman with the "bloodiest" sword of all... The characters are redesigned to match the high quality animation used to depict the end of Japan's Edo era and it's definitely a notch above the average anime.
