Ever since Masamune Shirow first published the original comic in "Weekly Young Magazine Special Edition: Kaizoban" (Kodansha) in 1989, the "Ghost in the Shell" series -- beginning with director Mamoru Oshii's "GHOST IN THE SHELL" (1995) and expanding into anime, Hollywood live-action films, and many other works -- has continued to amaze and excite audiences around the world. The original soundtrack for its latest installment, the TV anime "Ghost in the Shell: THE GHOST IN THE SHELL," is now released! The music director is Taisei Iwasaki, who won the Japan Academy Prize for Best Music Score for the movie "Belle" and also worked on the music for the movie "Tokyo Taxi," currently playing in theaters. In addition to Taisei Iwasaki, the music is handled jointly by three people: Ryo Konishi, who served as music director for the opening ceremony of the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo and has handled sound production for numerous stage works and drama scores, as well as for Chara+YUKI, Mrs. GREEN APPLE, and TOMOO, among others; and YUKI KANESAKA, who is based in the United States and has recently worked on the music for the TV anime "Dr. STONE." The jacket is a newly drawn illustration jacket supervised by Science SARU and illustrated by tarou2.
