It's an entertaining film in the mold of other recent British films about "underdogs triumphing against all odds" like "The Full Monty," "Brassed Off," "The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill but Came Down a Mountain" and of course, "Billy Elliot." Prisoners competing in the prestigious Hampton Court Palace Flower Show (or what looks like 'Her Majesty's Gardening Competition') sounds like a silly idea but that makes it all the more funny and engaging. Purportedly, it's based on a true story about a group of British convicts become prize-winning gardeners.
