The planet of Aqua--a water planet created through terraforming--is home to the tourist town of Neo Venice and it's trademark gondolla operators, the Undine. A fifteen-year-old girl named Akari Mizunashi, dreaming of becoming an Undine, leaves her home for Aqua to study with the prestigious Aria Company under the water spirit Alicia Florence.
