Toshio Hosokawa: The Raven

Toshio Hosokawa, one of Japan's most celebrated composers, was also fascinated by "The Great Raven." He found in this mysterious tale the worldview of Noh, an ancient traditional Japanese art form, and by fusing these elements together, he created a new universe. Charlotte Hellecant, a mezzo-soprano, sings and narrates the story with rich expression, and the exquisite ensemble of the famous Luxembourg ensemble "Lucilin" adds color to the story.
