This CD contains selections of a NYC radio broadcast from 1940. This title has been previously released in the late 90's under the same title and with the same tracks (I believe by a label from the UK). It's probably the first time that this radio broadcast has been released on CD in Japan. There are other releases like the "The Radio Years (1940)" 20-track CD by Jazz Unlimited from Denmark that includes the complete radio broadcast. The CD listed here does not sound as good as other editions including the 1999 one, but all the songs are edited to play as individual tracks instead as a part of a program. The artwork is very nice though. Recommended for the Ella collectors.
