Description

[Machine Translation] In the mid-1970s, Cambodia is shaken by civil war. Under the dictatorship of the rising Khmer Rouge (Cambodian Communist Party), New York Times correspondent Schanberg and his local assistant Pran were separated after their lives were threatened. The film brilliantly recreates the real-life experiences of a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter who exposed the devastation in Cambodia and the deception in his own country that triggered it, with images so powerful that you feel you are right there. The film is a masterpiece that has won numerous film awards around the world. The passionate friendship between the main characters, which was never lost amidst all the hardships they endured, combined with John Lennon's "Imagine" played at the end of the film, has moved audiences around the world.
