Butterfly

[Machine Translation] Dan Snaith, who has also built a worldwide success and reputation as a member of Caribou, has launched his alias, Daphni, in order to pursue a more floor-oriented and intuitive style of expression. Butterfly" is an album that presents the essence of the Daphni project more clearly and boldly than ever before. The album is littered with fragmented samples, spontaneous rhythms that sway the body, and a sense of exuberance that emerges amidst minimalist repetition. However, it is not limited to so-called "functional club tracks. While Caribou's music has an organic and dramatic worldview based on band ensembles and songs, Daphni's approach is more improvisational and trusts in the sense of the moment. Butterfly" is a work that is both a reflection of and a response to this approach. Butterfly" clearly demonstrates the difference between the two, while at the same time reminding us that Dan Snaith's consistent sense of aesthetics is still flowing through the work.

Special Feature / Bonus Track: a bonus track
