Jumborg Ace memorial DVD Box 1 [Initial pressing only limited release]

This is one of the best shows in the great history of Tsuburaya live action genre. It's similar to the Ultraman series with a added twist of early Super Robot genre. The story line is almost the same as Ultraman. Giant evil monsters from outer space come and invade earth. A young hero tries to defend earth using his plane, but the plane is no match for the giant evil monster. The plane and the young hero both perish, or not? As the plane is going down in a heap of flames along with the young hero. Out comes a flash of light, an alien appears and turns the young hero's plane into a super robot that looks like Ultraman, and tells the young hero to use this super robot to fight the giant evil monsters. The young hero and his Ultraman like super robot, using Ultraman like powers, defeats the giant evil monsters and saves the day. Sound fimilar? Comes with a 16 page booklet, which details the monsters from all the episodes included. Too bad it's out-of-print. And no one knows when Tsuburaya productions will release a second print of this great box-set. For any fan the Ultraman series.
