Haruko Momoi
Being quite new to Momoi's works, I was looking for a CD which could present me with songs of her typical music style. And this album was just the right choice. It contains songs which are simply typical for her from style and lyrics, all of them addicting in their own way. Out of all songs, I especially enjoyed 'Akihabara Love', mainly for its happy upbeat melody. I can only recommened this CD for any Momoi newbie and, of course, for all her fans.
I love Halko so I knew what to expect from her. This CD didn't let me down in any way. The only thing I can complain about is that the 1st song doesn't have her singing. It also has some other versions of songs she has sung before. I loved it all and recommend it to all the J pop lovers out there. This is a must for any of her fans!
This is Momoi's first solo album after Under17 broke up. I am a huge fan of Under17 so I was really excited about getting this. On my first listen I was a bit disappointed. After a few repeat listens, however, it really grew on me. The first track works as an extended opening for the second track, which means (to me atleast) that there are really only 12 tracks instead of 13. Next, there are 2 songs on here (Adolescense and Figure ni Naritai) that are remixes of songs she did for Under17, and I don't like them as much as the originals, although they're not bad. Love.exe, Akihabalove, and "Far and Away" are energetic. Mebius Ring and Motto Yume Miyou!! are catchy and sound great, my favorite songs on the disc. "Hide and Seek", and " Go Home!" are light and catchy with the Momoi's cute background vocals and higher pitched voice. Shuzukai no Rhapsody is different than typical Momoi but I like it. Koi no Recipe and Friendship are my least favorite of the new songs, but they're not bad at all. I'd say if you liked Momoi's work in Under17 you will enjoy this CD. I like her work in Under17's 3 Best albums more, but this is still worth picking up. Momoi is back and I can't wait for more.
