After having grown up surrounded by many types of music, mostly due to my own personal exploration over the years, I grew into loving and appreciating soooo many different genres of music, including classical, something too many these days seem to overlook. MY STORY Classical is gorgeous!! I love the alternate classical arrangements of every song on here. It truly does them all some beautiful justice, some sounding even more gorgeous than the pop originals. I also adore the instrumental classical bonus track version of "A Song is born". It makes me wish more of my favorite artists including Kumi Koda, Hikaru Utada, BoA, Jolin Tsai and the now retired Namie Amuro had of, or would in the future release a classical compilation of their own songs as well. This is a fantastic album and I VERY HIGHLY recommend giving it a full listen through at least a few times.

AWESOME!!! Just having discovered Ayumi Hamasaki's wonderful music 2 years ago, I was amazed at hearing she had a classical album of one of my favorite albums. Any fan of Ayu's music needs to buy this and give it a listen. Highly recommended!
I've rediscovered some of Ayu's songs that I usually do not really listen to when they are in the original pop version. It's really peaceful and resting to listen to it. Ayu's voice is emphasized on the cd. It's a vocal performance, enjoyable for the listener I truly recommand it if you want to listen to Ayu's songs from another hear.
Ayumi Hamasaki is very interesting singer for me. Her voice is one of the most interesting voice what I have heard in my life. I like this album because it is very special combination of classical music and her exciting voice. If you want relax and listen music from Ayumi, I advice you to listen this album, it is great! (I am apologize for my bad english)
Having grown up on classical music, and loving the "My Story" album, it would have been a shoe in to buy this, frankly I don't know why I was opposed. But, when it went on clearance, I figured I might as well. Bottom line, if you are just getting into Ayumi Hamasaki and are not a fan of orchestral music, hold off on this, you'll appreciate it more later.
I love Ayu and this is probably one of the best compliations of her songs ever. It has oodles of songs, many of my favorite songs. Check it out! ^.^
when I first put this cd on I was surprised that the first song was instrumental not really my taste but the next song was with classic background music and ayumi's voice which is a very pretty combination. Some songs sounded much prettier then the normal versions to my own opinion. And for me the cd is fun to listen to and it doesn't get boring very soon. I recommend it for people who both like classical music and ayumi's music
Continuing the legacy of Acoustic Orchestra albums, yet the inclusion of the word "Classical" seems to have put people off, why? This item is the only thing I have seen of Ayu's keep "First Press" for so long! To me this is the best form of MY STORY, an album that many had issues with, me among them. At times quieter than MY STORY, but it never detracts from the vocals. My favourite songs have been made wonderful, the version of Moments, an all time favourite of mine, surpasses even the "Acoustic Piano mix" in beauty and I like the changes of really pop-y songs like HONEY to classical form. Dark/rock songs like GAME are made very impressive and much more dramatic, (I think) with some vocal changes too. The interlude tracks (NEVERLAND and Kaleidoscope) have been arranged into full length pieces, quite good - I find Kal. sounds like Joe Hisaishi's work from Mononoke-hime, a positive thing surely! I think he had a big influence on the arranger - so Ghibli fans get this! A Song Is Born is sadly vocal-less, but really amazing, with a great surge of energy in it. I like Ayu and classical music, and this is a good performance of both. For those dissapointed with MY STORY, it's worth it!
