Ai am BEST [CD+DVD] Customer Reviews

This is a good first singles collection for those new to Otsuka Ai or Ai fans who want all the music videos. The 13 singles are varied and show different facets of Ai's music: cute (momo no hanabira), super-genki (sakuranbo, Happy Days), nostalgic and dramatic (kingyo hanabi, planetarium). Those who already have all her albums and/or singles won't find much new material here, unless they want music videos to her singles. Her music videos are varied and have good production value. Those new to Ai may want to try out the music first, and don't need the PVs. Consequently, every camp may not be satisfied. Personally, I wanted to pick up her singles and was curious about the PVs so I was happy with this purchase.

I still think it was kinda soon for her to release a greatest hits cd, but oh well! The one GREAT point about this best album is the DVD. OMG, it's SO good! Ai's music videos are excellent, I particularly love daisukidayo. and Kingyo Hanabi clips, they're so beauitful. :~~ One thing I didn't like was that weird thing she called "BEST OF BABASHI". WTH was that? I was like "omg, she's really a nut" when I saw it. Anyway, it's a good album. Ai goes from upbeat songs to romantic ballads, I mean, there's no way you won't like it.

This cd/dvd pack i really enjoy!! :D, a compilation of fun and relax songs, with alots of cool pv's, if you will buy something, buy this ^^

This BEST album seems really out of place in my opinion. I love Ai Otsuka, but it is missing her past four singles and only contains thirteen tracks. There's really nothing much in it for fans apart from a new PV and a very short hidden track. The first press made it somewhat worth it though.

My first experience with Ai Otsuka, I thought that a live concert would be a better way to see the talents of an artist. I was not disappointed. Ai appears to be quite talented both vocally and musically, I was very impressed to see her play the piano herself. Though I feel the stage show lacked a little in sparkle, the songs seem well constructed and solid, and her ability to relay emotion is also very good. I highly recommend Ai Otsuka if you wish to explore more beautifully crafted Japanese Artists.

The DVD is super cool. Remember to key in the code when the person is jumping down from "Ai plane". To unlock the MTV to the hidden track on the CD (track 99), with your DVD remote arrow buttons, press "Up" 9 times, then press "Right" 9 times, then press "Down" 9 times, then press "Left" 9 times and finally press "Enter" and the hidden clip will be revealed, "Best of Babashi". Really have lots of fun with this compilation. Plus the cool stamp that comes with the first print edition. This is a must buy!! Support Ai-chan!!

Apart the fact that I don't like the cover and I don't understand why there is only the CD+DVD edition (all Ai's videoclips are nice and funny, true but not everyone have the interest for the videoclips ...), this is for sure a must have collection for all the Ai Otsuka Fans, for all the ones who loves funny and childish songs mixed with a more mature music like the songs ''Kingyo Hanabi'', ''Planetarium'', ''Cherish'' and ''LOVE MUSiC''.
