While I no longer own this particular release, I believe it uses the same audio & video as BCBA-0246; said disc is still in my possession, and it's the reason I sold 2009's reissue if I'm remembering correctly. If this is your first GiTS DVD, but you're familiar with R2J animation home video, picture will not disappoint. Blu-ray ('17 reissue at least) provides a restoration, but DVD, like many examples, is nonetheless praiseworthy.
