Space Battleship Yamato A New Voyage appears in the EMOTION BIG JACKET COLLECTION second series as a 32cm x 32cm big jacket edition. After the fierce battle with the White Comet Empire, Yamato finally completed its repairs on Earth after suffering many sacrifices and heavy damage. At Heroes Hill, where a statue of Captain Okita stands, the Yamato warriors vow to protect peace in space forever in honor of the fallen heroes. Carrying 54 new crew members including graduates of the Cosmo Tiger Flight Corps, Yamato departs on a long awaited test voyage. Meanwhile, Dessler, aiming to rebuild the Gamilas Empire, heads toward his mother planet Gamilas. Feeling shame for siding with the White Comet Empire after encountering the hearts of Kodai and others, Dessler's hopes are shattered when planet Gamilas suddenly explodes and disappears.
