Originally released digitally to coincide with the DUB SESSIONS held at London s Barbican Centre in February 2026, this EP is now available on CD for the first time. Recorded in just one day at Wicker Studios based on improvised sessions, this album traverses diverse musical worlds including dub, jazz, electronic, and Afrobeat as if to reflect the spirit of DUB SESSIONS. In addition to the three groups of artists, Alex White of Primal Scream and the Fat White Family who performed as a member of Adrian Sherwood s band at the 2025 DUB SESSIONS also participates. 2025年に20周年を迎え、2026年9月にも開催が決定しているエイドリアン・シャーウッド主宰のDUB SESSIONS。今回はエレクトロニック・ミュージックの名門＜Warp Records＞の重鎮にして象徴的存在の一人、ナイトメアズ・オン・ワックスを迎えることが発表されており、ダブ～エレクトロニック～クラブミュージック・ファンを幅広く魅了すること間違いなし! そんな話題のイベント開催を記念し、エイドリアン・シャーウッドが、2023年にDUB SESSIONSに出演したアフリカン・ヘッド・チャージ、そしてサウス・ロンドンの新鋭ジャズ・コレクティヴ、スピーカーズ・コーナー・カルテットと組んで制作したEPがリリース! もともとは2026年2月にロンドンのバービカン・センターで開催されたDUB SESSIONSに合わせてデジタル配信されたもので、今回初めてCDでも発売される。ウィッカー・スタジオにて、即興のセッションをベースに、たった1日でレコーディングされたという本作は、DUB SESSIONSの精神を反映されるかのように、ダブ、ジャズ、エレクトロニック、アフロビートなど、多様な音楽世界を横断。3組のアーティストに加え、2025年のDUB SESSIONSにエイドリアン・シャーウッドのバンドメンバーとして出演したプライマル・スクリームおよびファット・ホワイト・ファミリーのアレックス・ホワイトも参加。アフリカン・ヘッド・チャージの名曲「Wicked Kingdom Of This Earth」とスピーカーズ・コーナー・カルテットの「Topanga」を即興をベースにリワークしているほか、セッション中にゼロから生み出された2曲の新曲も収録されている。解説書付。※本商品は金曜販売開始商品のため、商品のお届けは発売日当日以降になります。
