[Machine Translation] Akio Niitsu is a musical prodigy who is still internationally acclaimed for his originality and musicality, as evidenced by his album "I/o" (1978), which features guitar played at twice the speed and multiple recordings. This is the second volume of the unreleased collection, and the first best album of all the unreleased material from 1973 to 1984, which has been compiled and officially released. The album "I/o", which took three and a half years to make, has become known to many people in the music industry as a crystallization of the art of recording, and has been used as background music for MUJI stores, theme music for TV programs, jingles for radio stations, and music for environmental videos. He went on to produce his second album "PETSTEP" (1982) and third album "Winter Wonderland" (1985), both with Haruomi Hosono as an advisor. This CD album is a compilation of those demos, outtakes, and studies of new ideas, and is a collection of electronic music symphonies that are the fruit of the grand imagination of Akio Niitsu, a musician of another dimension, and the result of many drawings or abstract paintings that became one. 倍速で再生したギターと多重録音によるアルバム『I/o』(1978)を表し、その余りにも独創性に満ちた音楽性で今なお世界的に評価される天才音楽家、新津章夫。その1973～84年に残された膨大な未発表音源を編集、オリジナル・アルバムでは知ることの出来なかった新津章夫の新たな魅力、全て初出となるベスト・アルバムが公式発売。未発表集第2弾。3年半の制作期間を以って作られたアルバム『I/o』は、録音芸術の結晶として多くの音楽関係者に知られることとなり、無印良品の店内BGMやテレビ番組のテーマ曲、ラジオ局のジングル制作から環境ビデオの音楽などを手掛けながら、細野晴臣をアドバイザーに迎えた2ndアルバム『PETSTEP』(1982)と3rdアルバム『ウィンター・ワンダーランド』(1985)の制作へ向かった。本CDアルバムは、それらのデモやアウトテイク、またさらなる新たなアイデアの習作などから編集したもの。TR-909導入によりサウンドが変化した時期のカラクリ、そして別次元の音楽家、新津章夫の壮大な想像力が結実、数多くのデッサンあるいは抽象画が全体で1つとなったかの電子音楽交響曲集でもある。
