Celebrating the 50th anniversary of its broadcast! All 54 episodes of the TV series are finally available in a long-awaited Blu-ray box featuring a negative-scan HD remaster!! The ending theme with the famous line "Height 57m, Weight 550t" that everyone remembers humming. With the call of "Let's combine!", the five battle machines can only combine into "Combattler V" when the hearts of the five members become one. Not only does it depict the five protagonists such as Hyoma Aoi, but it also incorporates dramatic elements on the Campbellians side, making it not just an entertaining robot anime, but also a work carrying messages about the horrors of war and the importance of trust, a "dramatic super robot anime" by Tadao Nagahama. The character known as a pioneering "bishonen", General Garuda, despite being an enemy character, captivated many young girls at the time with his beauty and tragic end. Furthermore, many boys were also captivated by the heroine Chizuru Nanbara. Her presence is overwhelming, and she still enjoys enduring popularity as one of the most iconic anime heroines. The script is by Masaki Tsuji, character design by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, and many staff members from Sunrise who worked on "Brave Raideen" (broadcast on NET network) participated, bringing together leading figures of the anime industry. At the time of broadcast, the DX Popinica toy line, in which the five machines transform and combine almost exactly as in the show, became a huge hit. -- Since prehistoric times, the Campbellians lurking underground have begun their invasion of Earth. Anticipating this, Dr. Nanbara built the giant robot "Combattler V" that combines using super electromagnetic power. He gathers four young people from across the country and forms the "Battle Team" including his granddaughter Chizuru. During the battles against the Slave Beasts, Dr. Nanbara loses his life, and Dr. Yotsuya takes command of the team. The tragedy of General Garuda. Then the appearance of new enemies, the Magma Beasts and Empress Janera. The battles of Hyoma and his team continue until peace is restored to Earth...
