Musical "Touken Ranbu" - Michi no Oku Hitotsu Hachisu -

I am soo soo excited for the latest DVD/Blu-Ray release that I couldn't wait to finally watch it! Michi no Oku Hitotsu Hachisu is a bridge to future plays of the musical and not a conclusion for Mikazuki Munechika's storyline. We still don't get a lot about Mikazuki's mission nor do we know what exactly the Shinshintou or the Gou-swords have gotten as a mission (exactly). This musical is rather a focus on the different relationships between the Touken Danshi. Especially between Mikazuki and Tsurumaru, but what bothers me a little is that Kashuu and Hachisuka mostly have the roles as commentators, rather than being properly involved in the plot. Especially Kashuu should feel more conflicted between his own experiences with Mikazuki vs. the experiences Tsurumaru has. All in all, the musical is another masterpiece. The songs are great and the plot is wonderful and thoughtful, picking up themes from previous musical parts again. The fashion sense of the second idol part is a little questionable, but I can say that the songs themselves are splendid and everyone gets a solo. I can't wait for future parts and I'm already looking forward to the one where Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki is the leader of the mission.
