That night, he tries to make Alba fall in love with a jeweler in exchange for the diamonds he has acquired. Alba resists and takes a knife, which pierces the jeweler's chest. The end comes when Zico's best friend, Cholo, comes to the rescue. He takes Alba to a seedy tango bar. Her rich blonde hair is dyed black, and she begins a new life as a dancer and a prostitute. She no longer has the energy left to run away. Cholo teaches Alba everything she knows about tango. The passion, sensuality, and magic of the tango. Cholo allows her to dance with other men, but forbids her to dance with anyone but him. He never wants to embrace Alba.
