ヌォヴォ・メタルの真実! この時期がなければ今の8人編成クリムゾンは存在しなかった!? ダブル・トリオ運営が暗礁に乗り上げ、次のキング・クリムゾン・ラインナップを決めるために様々な組み合わせによるプロジェクトでのライヴを経て決まった4人編成クリムゾン。'69年のデビュー以来、この時点までで最もタイトなキング・クリムゾンとなった。クリムゾンの歴史の中では軽んじられている時期ではあるが、演奏面では現在の8人編成クリムゾンと並び最も緻密かつテクニカルだった時期の貴重な記録だ。2004年まで継続し、『コンストラクション・オブ・ライト』、『パワー・トゥ・ビリーヴ』の2作品を発表したラインナップ。このコレクターズ・クラブ音源は2000年発表の『コンストラクション・オブ・ライト』に伴う日本ツアー11公演を記録したものを2カ月に分け発売。第1回は東京6公演を公開。コレクターズ・クラブとしての音質面でも前回1995年ツアー同様、すべてサウンドボード・レコーディング音源がマスターとなっており、完成度が高く緻密な演奏の細部まで明瞭に記録されている。2015年以来3年ぶりの来日が決まったキング・クリムゾンの現在のサウンドに直接リンクする貴重な音源と言って良いだろう。『2000年10月5日(木) 東京・渋谷公会堂』――安定した演奏が楽しめる渋谷公会堂3デイズ中日。「イントゥ・ザ・フライング・パン」～「フラクチャード」～「プロザック・ブルース」と続く『コンストラクション・オブ・ライト』プレゼンテーションの緊張感が絶品の音源! 「クリムゾンのライヴ年代記」応募券付き。

The core treasure of this release lies in two expansive, ominous improvisations (Improv I and Improv II), where Trey Gunn’s touch guitar weaves dense, hypnotic low-end soundscapes.
