若手フュージョンバンド"DEZOLVE"の中心メンバーでありドラマー、山本真央樹の1stソロアルバム。この作品は、自信が音楽を作る上で色々な情景を思い浮かべて求める形にたどり着く、その道のりがアルバム全体で表現されている。アルバムタイトル楽曲でもあり「In My World」はまさにそのたどり着くまでの物語を描いた壮大かつシンフォニックな組曲形式の作品で、"自分でしかない世界観"という一つのモチーフを原点に、幾多の変容を経て緻密かつ鋭い感性を研ぎ澄ませて完成させた各楽章により構成された22分以上に及ぶ超大作。一方で他楽曲は、作品を通して貫かれるCITY感覚にあふれ、躍動感がありキャッチーなメロディーを身にまとった革新的フュージョンサウンドを生み出している。また、名実ともにトップクラスのサックスプレイヤー本田雅人 (ex.T-SQUARE)、その盟友則竹裕之 (ex.T-SQUARE)やBOWWOWのリーダーでギタリストの山本恭司、さらにDEZOLVEの北川翔也、友田ジュンなど豪華ミュージシャンが参加しており、このアルバムを鮮やかに装飾してくれている。
