After releasing one single and one album, the band "UGUISS" disbanded after only one year. The original members, Yoshiyuki Sahashi (guitar), Toshifumi Shibata (keyboards), and Jun Matsumoto (drums), are still active at the forefront as session musicians, and it is no exaggeration to say that their careers have built the history of J-POP in the past 40 years. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of their debut this year, they will tour in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka in May, supported by Reika Tomita (vocals) and Dr. kyOn (bass & keyboards). 幻のバンド"UGUISS"が再始動! 1983年にEpic Recordsよりデビュー。シングル1枚とアルバム1枚をリリース後、僅か1年で解散した幻のバンド"UGUISS"。オリジナルメンバーである佐橋佳幸 (ギター)、柴田俊文 (キーボード)、松本淳 (ドラムス)は、セッション・ミュージシャンとして現在も最前線で活躍、この40年間のJ-POPの歴史を築いたと言っても過言ではないキャリアを積んでいる。今年デビュー40周年を記念して冨田麗香 (ヴォーカル)、Dr.kyOn (ベース&キーボード)のサポートを得て、東名阪3ヶ所のツアーを5月に開催。その後、この5人でバンド活動継続を宣言! 8/21に配信限定でリリースされた"新生UGUISS"第1弾シングルを完全生産限定7inchアナログ盤でリリース!!
