Description

[Machine Translation] Oliver Lake, founder of BAG and later a leader of the New York loft scene, left his first album in St. Louis, produced by pianist John Hicks. This is a masterpiece of spiritual jazz, including "Africa," an indigenous Afro-spiritual piece that was included in a compilation supervised by Giles Peterson. He has since formed the World Saxophone Quartet with Julius Hemphill, David Murray, and others, and has participated in Bjork's albums, as well as teaching many musicians, including John Zorn, to the world.
Note: This is an import edition (manufactured outside of Japan).
