A Song From Distant Lands

The fourth full-length album by Japanese singer-songwriters LUCA and There is a fox. Production initially began as a mini album of several newly written songs, prompted by two songs that were born on their summer tour in 2025. In the spring of 2026, following on from 2025, LUCA visited Southern California, where There is a fox lives, and the two traveled by car for about 10 hours through Sequoia National Park to Berkeley, LUCA's hometown. Dry earth, a highway that goes on forever, magnificent forests. New songs were born one after another within the scenery of the journey, and the mini album they had planned changed form into a full album containing 7 songs. Centered on the guitars and voices of the two, bass, saxophone and violin are layered on to depict an even richer landscape. Seoul, Berkeley, Lake Forest, Okinawa, Amami, Okayama. Memories, time and fragments of scenery nurtured while passing through the four seasons in each place came together as one, and this work was born. 日本人シンガーソングライター、LUCAとThere is a foxによる4枚目のフルアルバム。当初は、2025年の夏のツアーで生まれた2曲をきっかけに、数曲を書き下ろしたミニアルバムとして制作が始まった。2026年春、2025年に続きLUCAがThere is a foxの暮らす南カリフォルニアを訪れ、二人は車で約10時間をかけてセコイア国立公園を経て、LUCAの生まれ故郷・バークレーへと旅をした。乾いた大地、どこまでも続くハイウェイ、雄大な森。旅の景色の中で次々と新しい歌が生まれ、予定していたミニアルバムは、7曲を収めたフルアルバムへと姿を変えた。2人のギターと声を軸に、ベース、サックス、ヴァイオリンが重なり、より豊かな風景を描きだす。ソウル、バークレー、レイクフォレスト、沖縄、奄美、岡山。旅先でそれぞれの四季を巡るなかで育まれた記憶や時間、景色の断片が一つに重なり、本作は生まれた。旅の景色から生まれた7つの歌が、この夏、日本各地へと届けられる。紙ジャケット仕様。ポスター付。
