BOG has already affirmed its place as a magazine for idol group enthusiasts: It's full of high-quality photos printed on quality slick paper, accompanied by a fairly satisfying amount of articles, trivia and interviews. The magazine's focus being somewhat loose (only 13 pages for all 3 cover girls this volume, and 3-4 pages for each of the other featured groups or idols, making the cover story just another story in the lot) decreases its attractiveness for fans of a single idol or group, but I find it rather positive for it encourages the general aficionado to get to know other idols and groups. Now, on to the poster attachment. About all idol magazines give out posters, usually big posters printed on thin glossy paper and folded into 6 or 8. BOG, too, would give out posters of that kind up to now. This time around, however, there is a tear-off poster as the first inner leaf of the magazine (literally an attachment). The poster is rather small (the size of the magazine, which is A4), but it has two important benefits to compensate for its size. First, it's not folded, so you can use it just as is, without worrying about flattening it in effort to remove fold marks. Second, the paper is really thick and stiff (about as thick as the cover and much stiffer than it), therefore easy to tear off the magazine but resistant to wear. I like the idea and hope they continue with this format. Nobody lives in a house with infinite walls anyway. It's a double-sided poster, so you can't possibly have all three cover girls on your wall unless you buy two copies of the magazine; you will have to choose either Yuria or the Nao-Ryoha pair. But if you have a pin board, you could just pin one side for a while and then the other for a change. In fact, at this size, it would be the ideal use for this poster.
