Genso to Kaiki Kessaku Sen

[Machine Translation] In April 1973, the first issue of the magazine "Fantasy and the Weird" was published. It was literally "Japan's first journal for the study of fantasy and bizarre literature" by Junichiro Kida and Hiroshi Aramata, who had already been at the forefront of introducing fantasy literature at that time. It published 12 issues until it ceased publication in October 1974, a short period of one year and six months, but it published many well-known masterpieces and became a cornerstone for the publication of fantasy literature later on. Forty-five years have passed since it ceased publication. Here is a reprint of selected works from "Fantasy and Weirdness" as well as critiques, columns, and book reviews. This volume is a must-have for lovers of fantasy literature, and includes essays by the contributors and all four issues of "THE HORROR," a fantastic coterie magazine that was the predecessor to "Fantasy and the Weird.
