Ryoma, a childhood friend and hometown friend of both men, moves to stop Izo from becoming a manslayer. Ryoma asks Izo to be a "bouncer for Kaishuu Katsu. Katsu, an open-minded man who is also pushing for the creation of a navy, is the prime target of the Honno Jojin faction. However, Ryoma is hoping that his encounter with Kaishu Katsu will change the "Manslayer Izo" in the same way. If you believe in me, will you protect the man I believe in, Mr. Katsu?
