The first-ever reissue of this legendary self-released album-known as a hard-to-find gem from the days of the all-female duo POiSON GiRL FRiENDS-has been confirmed!

POiSON GiRL FRiEND, the solo project of nOrikO-who now captivates the world with her ethereal, whispering vocals. The mini-album *POiSON GiRLFRiENDS* is set for its first reissue on CD and vinyl!
Originally released in March 1991 on nOrikO's own indie label, PSYCHO-PLANET COMMUNICATIONS, this is a 6-track mini-album. Influenced by post-punk and UK dance culture, PGF's unique sound-which evolved in its own distinct direction-was already firmly established at this early stage.
A highlight of this release is the inclusion of a prototype version (alternative guitar version) of Track 1, "Hardly Ever Smile (Without You)," widely regarded as an ambient pop classic. Other standout tracks include Track 2, "You Never Did Understand," with its striking bassline and slightly faster BPM, Track 3, "Save Our Planet," with its beautiful intro that seems to put the collective unconscious into lyrics and carries a message still relevant today; Track 4, "I'm Here And Here I'll Stay," featuring a pleasant rhythm machine beat; Track 5, "Start Worrying (Use Your Brain)," with its distinctive rhythm pattern; and the closing masterpiece, Track 6 "When You Call My Name"-a fragile voice shrouded in deep echoes, as if emerging from the mist, that you'll want to listen to forever. This collection brings together tracks that can be considered a valuable record of Japan's early club music and electro sound scene.
The recording features Shin Otsu-now an indispensable guitarist for PGF-along with longtime musical friends Naoko Eto and DJ BABY TOKIO (Nobuyoshi Sekine) . This is a valuable work documenting the scene on the eve of PGF. Originally released exclusively on CD in 1991, this marks the first-ever release on vinyl LP. It is truly the reissue the world has been waiting for. The reissue of this rare debut indie album-which had become extremely difficult to find-can truly be called a major event.
