This new hair is quite unique. It's very smooth and very snappy. It has a glossy quality like blue and grey squirrel, but it's incredibly snappy. The closest hair Tanuki reminds me of is Kolinsky, but Kolinsky has a bit more coarseness to it. This brush is tapered, but you can't use it like a traditional blending brush. It's better used on its side to lie down color or you can use the tip to draw on color, especially with cream or liquid shadows.
