Always been a fan of classical music, and considering the 'orchestratic' origins of the album, I thought I'd buy one myself. Doesn't disappoint; songs depict moods very well and personally are very 'insightful'. Maybe one or two songs don't really fit, but overall a nice album. That plus it brings back memories of the movie if you have seen it.

The theme song is performed by Saori Nishiba who made her debut with this song after winning at a singing contest sponsored by Hori Productions. Also includes a song performed by Kikuko Inoue, the vocal actress who plays Belldandy. Other tracks are orchestrated with style in the grand symphonic tradition.

I have watch the movie more than twenty times. The soundtrack is just wonderful, the vocal actress has done a great job especially on the track where three Goddess sing together to heal the world.
Far above your average anime movie soundtrack. The Ah! My Goddess movie soundtrack features a majestic orchestral score composed by Nobou Uematsu and Shiro Hamaguchi (the masterminds behind the "Final Fantasy" soundtracks), and performed by the Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra. The crown jewel on this CD is the climatic choral piece from the end of the movie, but the other parts of the score are wonderful as well. The "pop" songs on this CD, however, sound like your typical over-synthesized, cheesy anime songs, and leave much to be desired. Despite that, however, this soundtrack is not to be missed, whether you're a fan of the movie or not.
