These two musicians took the time to meet and play together to complete this double album! Carlos Johnsen is a Chicago guitarist and singer who has supported Otis Rush as his right-hand man since his stroke in 2004, and is also a solo artist whose passionate performances have won him great support from Japanese blues fans. Hideaki Tanaka, a Japanese guitarist who started his musical career in Chicago, admired Otis Rush, and was greatly inspired and influenced by Carlos when he saw him live in Chicago in 1999. The two, who could be described as master and disciple, have completed an album in which they face each other head-on. The two talk with each other on the guitar from the opener instrumental "I Wonder Why," which is Otis' signature tune and which Carlos has taken over, to Jimmy Reed's "You Don't Have To Go," a closer that Carlos has also featured on previous live albums. The result is a relaxed yet dense album.
