It was honestly my own fault for not reading the finer details of the product description (or even the reviews), regardless from what I have seen of this film and having watched it prior to buying it, I can undoubtedly say that this movie is fantastic in every way. The fact that I can't understand any of it now only means that I'll have to hit the books, but for this movie its definitely worth it.
This edition is true to the theme of the anime with its charming photos and relaxing colours. The film delivers a powerful message to people of all ages with topics such as bullying and its psychological effects, and that of forgiveness and gaining confidence and trust. I thoroughly enjoyed the film. On a side note, it is clearly stated on the product page that it doesn't have an English subtitle; so it is not the fault of the product nor that of the website, but that of the consumer. Not attacking anyone in particular, but to produce a rating based on your own fault is unreasonable. Please always read the product description to avoid such cases. xx
After reading another review that gave this one star due to a complaint that clearly show that there was no subtitles for this film. This movie compared to a lot of movies in Japan is about 80 bucks despite whether or not there's subtitles or not this was not meant for us release so you really need to do your research before making a purchase especially on import websites shipping from another country. Just take a look at your name which clearly tells us that there's English subtitles along with one punch man. However unlike a silent voice it does not have subtitles. And for being the cost of 80 bucks in Japan that's pretty normal. And a lot of their release does not have a subtitle option at all. Otherwise the movie was great.
Okay so i finished this movie and i got the special edition. Movie is damn awesome love it but no english sub? Really? I didnt know til i purchased this that it DOESNT HAVE ENGLISH SUBTITLE. How are we supposed to watch this without knowing any jap at all? It should be a no brainer to include english subtitle especially at this price. I dont want to promote pirating here but thats the only choice this movie left me. Im pretty disappointed to be honest.
This movie is a gem, from start to finish. It is unusual to see movies about disabilities and this is made in a magnificent way. If you decide to see it, it'll move you. The blu ray is impeccable. The PCM audio and the 1080p image show how every detail was meticulously crafted. Also, the included booklet is lovely.
