Blu-rayパッケージ用の完全修正映像を再編集! 劇場版主題歌はLinked Horizonが手がける「自由の代償」、劇場版新規音楽及びエンディングテーマ「theDOGS」は澤野弘之が担当! ── 巨人化したエレンにより、破壊された扉は塞がれ人々は救われた。ただ、その後の彼に対する民衆の反応は様々で、壁の内側に住む者ほど破滅に導く悪魔だと恐れ、外側に進む者ほど希望へと導く救世主だと讃えた。そんな中、憲兵団と調査兵団が共にエレンを引き入れたいと名乗り出る。それぞれの兵団の思惑が交錯しつつも、中央政府はエレンをどちらに引き渡すか審議にかけることに。結果、彼は調査兵団に入れられ、中でも個性的な精鋭が揃う特別作戦班・通称「リヴァイ班」に所属することとなった。一方、同じく調査兵団にはエレンの同期、第104期訓練兵たちも新たに加わり、彼らにとっての初の壁外調査へ。巨人との接触を出来る限り避ける陣形を取りながら目的地を目指すが、他の巨人とは明らかに違う、知性を持つ女型巨人に遭遇し・・・。
