Layton Kyouju to Akuma no Hako Original Soundtrack

Having already listened to Professor Layton and the Curious Village Soundtrack, it was time to listen to Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box Soundtrack next. The album starts out with the chilling "Theme of the Diabolical Box" which sets the tone of the rest of the CD. Other good tracks include "London", "Folsense", "A Moment of Rest", and many more. As the title of the review sugests, the album is very French. Many listeners will enjoy the various accordian, violin, piano, and harmonica instruments. As a bonus to the soundtrack, you are also given a few live and high quality tracks. My favorite live tracks where "A Moment of Rest" and "Theme of the Diabolical Box." The high quality tracks where nothing that special as they where basicly the same as their normal quality counterparts. You are also given a small booklet with original concept art. I only had one problem. The soundtrack seems to have ommited the ending theme for unknown reasons. Besides that I enjoyed this soundtrack very much. This soundtrack is a good collecter's item that no Layton fan should be without. Highly recomemded.

The second Professor Layton game soundtrack is better than the first! The only disappointing thing is that a few of the songs are the same as the first: Don Paulo's Theme Puzzle solving musics However, there are many new charming tunes, and as always, a very nicely presented insert with artwork and screenshots inside. The track list is provided on a seperate piece of paper. Any Layton fan will love this CD.
