Gilia [CD+DVD] Customer Reviews

I saw the PV to Alkaloid Showcase on Utube while watching other japanese bands and I was really struck by their style. I hadn't realy heard any other band with their sound so I decided to check em out. I am glad that I did cuz they are awesome! I loved all 5 songs but the best one is number 4,it's so meloncholic. The lead singer has nice voice. I immedietly went to cdjapan to buy all that you guys had on em but unfortunatly some stuff was already out of print. WAAH! Lukn forward to their new stuff thou.

I bought the European version of Gilia without really knowing what kind of band this is, other than knowing their label is Artist Society and they went on tour with Versailles. (which I didn't see, by the way. They didn't come to my country.) Their music isn't like Versailles or Hizaki, though. It can be described as, well, melodic rock with plenty of keyboard (the keyboardist is a full member), some metal influences, a beautiful singing voice and a few grunts here and there. I think it reminds me most of Rentrer En Soi. This is a visual band, as well. This version has 5 songs on it. The European version has 8 different songs on it and comes with a bonus DVD with 1 PV clip.

I had my hopes high on this cd! And I didn't disappoint at all! Great mini-album! All the songs are so good! And the music video is very cool! :D I'm waiting for their future releases! Please come to Finland again Matenrou Opera! ^-^ I recommend this cd!

I'm not sure what to say other than that it was pretty and nice and I enjoyed it xDDD... oh the PV was lovely too =O!

OMG! This mini rocks! I was only just introduced to this band but already I love them. There isn't a single track on this that isn't worth listening to! If your a fan of visuall Kei or just a fan of good rock music then definately buy this mini album. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I wished their were more songs on here. Their only fault.
