Klonoa 2 Soundtrack

This is an absolutely spectacular cd, video game music or otherwise. I've LOVED this game ever since it came out, the whole atmosphere is so genuine, and nostalgic, and the music is no exception! This is the game where you can gain an emotional attachment to, I sure did. However, This was before I know there was such a thing as "soundtracks" for video games (but there should be!!) So, when I discovered there was a cd to this game I looked for it everywhere! But, when I finally found it on CDJapan, it was "out of print", so I was very disappointed, and had to buy it somewhere else... All I have to say is, GET IT NOW!! before it sells out again and is gone for good!! (CdJapan is so wonderful to have got more in stock, it is such a great company!! Great service! I'm disappointed I already bought it somewhere else :( Anyway, this music is GREAT! It is a huge component into what made this game the true hidden jewel on the PlayStation 2. There are songs that are happy,sad, nostalgic. There are a variety of instruments used too,from wind, violins, brass, EVERYTHING!! Every composition was thoughfully made, and you can tell it was made with a lot of work and love. I think it is truly the best video game music, EVER, even better than the Zelda series!!! Additionally, there are 2 cd's, so every song is there, and long enough so you can enjoy it fully. NOT like some OSTs where songs are only 30 seconds long, ("The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" being a perfect example). Overall, a truly magnificient piece of music that I'd recommend to anyone, not just for video game lovers. (get it now before it's gone for good!!)

The music of Klonoa 2 has touched me deeply and is very fundamental to me. However, it's hard for me to explain the sound. There is a deal of variety to it. I guess I can best describe it as "colorful". The melodies are prominent and memorable. The instrumentation is eclectic, with influences from many genres. The composer roster features people such as Asuka Sakai (Katamari Damacy), Go Shiina (Tales of Legendia), Kohta Takahashi (Ridge Racer), and Eriko Imura & Kanako Kakino (Klonoa: Door to Phantomile). I could spend more time putting my affection for this album into rational, objective points... But I just recommend listening to this album. Do it.

Klonoa 2 is one really beautiful game, and I love the soundtrack...the music is so full of emotion. So I was very happy when I found there was released a soundtrack cd of it. All the songs/melodies from the game is there on the two discs contained in this soundtrack.
