Description

[Machine Translation] In honor of three women artists who sought freedom through music - Joni Mitchell, who wrote about the freedom to love, Abbey Lincoln, who sang about the freedom of individuality and race, and Nina Simone, who sought political freedom through song --In honor of these men and women, the jazz vocal project Songs of Freedom, under the direction of Grammy Award-winning drummer Ulysses Owens, Jr. The album features the soulful depth of veteran vocalists Renee Marie and Theo Bleckman, and the borderless vocalism of Alicia Olatuja and Joanna Majoko, who have risen from a new generation of vocalists to represent the modern era and are popular for their performances in Japan. A collaboration of songs and artists' souls that we need to appreciate again in this age of music.

SONGS OF FREEDOM / Ulysses Owens Jr.
