Description

[Machine Translation] A gang of bikers who have robbed a motorcycle race trophy rides into a nearby country town. Their leader, Johnny, is attracted to Cassie, a waitress, and tries to present the trophy to her, but she does not accept it. Then a rival biker gang appears and begins to fight with Johnny's group for the trophy, and the townspeople's animosity grows. That night, Johnny saves Cathy from being chased by a drunken biker gang. Little by little, Cathy grows fond of Johnny. However, the townspeople mistakenly believe that Johnny has assaulted her, and lynch her en masse... A vivid coming-of-age group portrait of riders in leather jackets. Marlon Brando plays the rebellious, violent, yet vulnerable 50's anti-hero with a strong personality. 79 min. Produced by Stanley Kramer. Director: Laszlo Benedick. Cast: Marlon Brando, Mary Murphy. 1953. 4:3 standard. Color.
