Dozing Green [Limited Edition] Customer Reviews

At first listen I wasn't sure I'd like it, but I listened to it again, and I love the new single. I think that's how Diru will be, for me. Have to listen twice before liking their songs. I'm reminded of how he used to sound, just going by what other fans have said, as I only got into them in February of this year.

So this single completely took me by surprise. I never saw it coming and then there it was screaming it's existence. And oh what a beautiful existence it is. Dozing Green has a feel slightly similar to Ryoujoku no ame, but with a harder edge with Kyo's singing launching into heart wrenching screams and very passionate vocals. Hydra 666 is an interesting mix of sounds. It bounces back between hard guitar and Kyo's growling to slower riffs and mumbling. Finally, the live Agitated Screams of Maggots is amazing. If you have been to see Dir en grey live it will instantly send you back to being in the crowd listening to Kyo wail and that by itself is reason enough to love the song, but it's a great recording very clear and while nothing tops being there it's the next best thing.

This is probably my favorite single from diru in a while. I really enjoyed that kyou wasn't screaming the entire song. Not that I have a problem with him screaming, but it's nice to hear his real voice again. And the music was amazing! As soon as I heard the opening, I thought, "This will be a very good song." And, well, it was. A must buy!

The softer Dir en Grey we knew almost two years ago are back! In this single Kyo shows us exactly what it is that sends shivers down our spines. His voice is soft but yet harsh and strong, It's like nothing you ever heard before and it just absorbs straight into your body and penetrates your soul. Dir en Grey is back! and i love it...

Once again i'm very happy with this new Diru release. Dozing green is a great song, with heavy sounds, but it's still close to the sound of "Marrow of a bone" tough. Hydra-666- is good, but the "Macabre" original version is unbeatable! and finally, the live version of "agitated screams of maggots" is awesome, the sounds that Kyo does at the beggining of the song reminds me of sad things...and the sounds are getting better every day. I love Kyo's sadness in every song he sings. By the way, thanks a lot for the poster, i'm very happy with it, and with the sticker too. ^^ Keep it up Diru! ^^

When I first heard of this single I thought it would be something drowsy but it end up to be something very strong and beautiful, I love how Kyo became the poet we all love, excellent CD

I love the title track. It sounds so different and new and I really like it. At first I was in doubt whether I should buy this single or not. Because when I first heard Marrow of A Bone cd, I was not very impressed. But after I listen to the cd over and over again and listening to Diru perform live, I was addicted to the songs in the album. So now I have bought the limited edition single and I can't stop listening to them!! I love the spooky ending of the song...didn't know that Kyo could produce that sweet spooky sound!

Dozing Green is a beautiful song. Everything is perfect from guitars to vocals. Even the lyrics are really good, almost...dare I say; happy, or as close to happy as Kyo can get since its not utterly repulsive. Hydra 666 was not what I was hopeing for but good none the less, really gets your blood pumping!

This new masterpiece by Dir en grey is amazing!! Dozing Green brings back their mix of a hauntingly beautiful melody with a strong rythm, while the b-side, Hydra666, brings an old song into their new, heavier style. Both tracks have deep lyrics written by kyo, contained in the booklet in both japanese and english. The live ASOM is a nice touch, especially with the intro making it fit in so nicely with the first two tracks. The artwork and packaging is also pretty cool. If you love Dir en grey, you must have this!!!

It's worth it. Dozing Green is a good track, Hydra-666- wins. The vocals are reminisant of older styles in both songs.... ASOM (live) was very unexpected. Very good single :)

I don't think anyone could of expected a more original single from Dir en grey... or how amazing it would be. Dozing Green The Song is a masterpiece, or like a work of art... that can only be understood in all its greatness by watching their music video. Hydra -666- When I first heard about the remake of this sound, I had no idea if it would be good or not. After buying the CD I am deeply impressed. I love it to death and think its the best B side they have ever put out. Agitated Screams OF Maggots (live) I enjoy this track a lot, the intro in the song makes it a really great add to the list of live songs they have put out. Poster / Packaging The poster that came with the CD was a big plus, I am extremely happy with it. The packaging is top notch and its really spiffy how the cd folds out. If you love Dir en grey, buy this CD :)

I have to say this single is AMAZING. DOZING GREEN is truly a new sound for Diru, and I like the way they're going with it. As much as I loved Hydra, Hydra -666- blows it out of the water. ASOM live is kind of lackluster, but thats to be expected of a live xD My limited edition didn't come with a sticker though o.o I got a poster

this single rocks! dozing green is great and so are the rest of the songs. Im actually surprised that hydra -666- would turn out as good as it did. I really loved it thou ^^
