Chopinism

[Machine Translation] The long-awaited all-Chopin album is the first Chopin album recorded by Ikuyo Nakamichi in 16 years, after "Beethoven: Complete Sonatas for Piano" from 2003 to 2006. Ikuyo Nakamichi has repeatedly taken up Chopin since the beginning of her career, recording seven solo albums including two piano concertos. This time, in addition to six etudes (including the two most famous pieces, "Revolution" and "Farewell") and one mazurka, which Nakamichi has dared to avoid recording until now, the album is centered on the "Polonaise Fantastique," which she has recently been fascinated by and regards as Chopin's masterpiece. Including the re-recording of Ballades No. 1 and No. 3 for the first time in 20 years, the program explores Chopin's life and Polish culture, and marks the fulfillment of Ikuyo Nakamichi's efforts to reinterpret his works from multiple perspectives other than music.
