This stupendous album was not only perfectly written, but also masterfully produced by Alan Parsons (who would build a career on that album alone); it hasn't aged at all (especially lyrically) and it is little wonder it spent some 20 years on the US billboard top 200 charts, sometimes popping its head inside in the following 20 years.

Sony Music Japan, releasing its own limited anniversary edition of "The Dark Side Of The Moon", decided that the sound source is the first Japanese version mastered on the SACD/CD Multi-Hybrid Edition disc released in 2021 by the specialized Analog Productions label in high sound quality. What I heard while listening to the album "Dark Side..." from the 7-inch cover confirmed my belief that it would be difficult to expect a better production. In the latest version of "Dark Side..." there is no aggression (on the verge of harshness) in the band's tutti playing, no purity of the multiplied vocals and their certain unnatural timbre. The effect achieved by Analogue Production engineers brings noticeable benefits to the listener - a much wider stage, but also an interesting depth, reaching into space and in front of the base of the speakers. The space of the room where I listen to music from records has been enriched with a dense aura in which it is impossible to isolate the so-called "air" and rightly so, because in a real concert situation such a thing does not exist, especially in a well-prepared hall acoustics. The overall sound of the recordings is very warm. Tones from the middle and upper registers are rounded and strongly enriched with overtones.

To be fair, this 5.1 SACD version is excellent. Great sonic range and booming bass lines. The classic we all know. I made a mistake. Seeing the golden OBI from the original QUAD release, I jumped on the purchase thinking this was part of Sony Music Japan cycle of 4.0 QUAD SACD re-issues. Like the Santana and Herbie Hancock material that I liked much in the SACD QUAD format. However, this is the Hybrid 5.1 as mastered by Analogue Productions in 2021. Anyway, read fully before purchasing, this release is CD / Stereo SACD and Multi-channel 5.1 SACD. It is not QUAD 4.0

dark Side of The Moon, Pink Floyd's top album on Super Audio CD, is truly fantastic. The sound is a feast for the ears, the packaging is incredibly beautiful 7 inch.. Highly recommended for every Floyd, even if you have certainly bought the album before

As usual the package was delivered very quickly( I live in Australia), with terrific packaging that protected the CD. And the product contains a lot of additional material ( eg posters, tickets )that really distinguishes this release from all others. Great service and product!

In terms of multi channel music, this is high standard, apart from that it is a SACD and you need a SACD player, the mix is very welldone using all chanels. The 7 inch package is high class and well reproduced, the Japanese manufacture is outperforming the Western style packaging . Therefore it's a must have seen from point of music history. Sound better and better . I never heard this album until the end of a song with streaming. Happy to get this SACD album .

Received my copy this morning so straight to the stereo to fire it up. Well, I am suitably impressed. The direct CD portion just sounds great, but the real surprise was the SACD portion. Wow! Fantastic stuff. Packaging wise, what Sony Music has done is everything a fan could possibly ask for and some. Brilliant.
