プリファブ・スプラウト、カタログ一挙 Blu-spec CD2 にて発売 !! 2001年の「ガンマン・アンド・アザー・ストーリーズ」から8年ぶりとなるプリファブ・スプラウトの新作がついにリリースとなる。もともとは「ヨルダン・ザ・カムバック」(1990年)の次のアルバムとして、ブライアン・ウィルソン/ビーチ・ボーイズの「スマイル」を理想として92年秋から制作に取り掛かったものの、結局完成までに17年の歳月を要したというストーリーを持った1枚となった。前作でバンドはパディのソロ・プロジェクトとなったが、今回も基本的にはパディがすべての楽器を演奏している様子。他人に提供した楽曲も含まれているが、いずれにせよ、ソングライター、パディ・マクアルーンが作り出す、完全無欠のポップ・ワールドがついに再臨 ! ほかのアーティストなら赤面してしまいそうな曲タイトルも、パディの世界観なら納得のいくものと言えるだろう。
