Toshiyuki Honda debuted in 1978 as the second artist on the up-and-coming crossover fusion label "Electric Bird." His first album as a bandleader was produced in collaboration with the LA-based fusion group "Sea Wind." Since then, he has performed with renowned musicians from Japan and abroad, including Chick Corea, Freddie Hubbard, Red Mitchell, and Christopher Cross. He is one of Japan s leading saxophonists. As a composer and arranger, he has worked on everything from TV dramas, commercials, and films to classical music and stage music (including *The Woman from Mars*, which won the Japan Academy Prize for Best Music). For this reissue, two bonus tracks have been added from the 2012 live album *Condor Fly Away / Toshiyuki Honda BW4 with Akira Wada*, recorded at Pit-In. The lineup features the artist himself, Soichi Noriki (Key), Ryu Kawamura (B), Shingo Okuhira (Ds), and Akira Wada (G).
