1864

[Machine Translation] Can you survive on the absolute zero limit? The Danish film industry has unleashed its full power in this masterpiece of epic romance! The original drama version "1864" was a 480-minute long film that depicted the Second Schleswig-Holstein War ( 1864 ), the biggest war in Danish history against Prussia and Austria, the strongest military powers at the time, and the events leading up to it in a detailed and innovative manner. This film version reconstructs the most horrific and fierce battle of the war, "The Battle of the Dupsel Redoubt," as the centerpiece of the film. A new masterpiece of pure war cinema has been born! Co-written by historian Tom Buk-Swenty, the film is a must-see for its depiction of Danish life and customs in the mid-19th century, and above all, for its depiction of military equipment and weaponry. --The Danish politicians who had won the First Schleswig-Holstein War were planning to annex the Duchy of Schleswig, ignoring the peace agreement. Born and raised in these turbulent times, brothers Peter and Raus fall in love with the same woman, Inge, but their brief peace comes to an end when the Danish Prime Minister Monrad declares war on Prussia and Austria, the powerful countries led by Bismarck. The brothers volunteer to go to the battlefield, while still in the middle of a love triangle over Inge.
